Privacy Policy

Alarms Pro is built so we don't need your data. We don't run ads, we don't sell anything to third parties, and the things we'd most plausibly use for tracking — your sleep stages, alarm history, snooze count — never leave your device.

The short version

What information the app handles

1. Sleep & health data (stays on your device)

If you enable Smart Wake or sleep tracking, Alarms Pro reads sleep-stage data from Apple HealthKit on your iPhone or Apple Watch. We use it locally to detect light-sleep windows and time the alarm. Optionally we write sleep sessions back to HealthKit when you use the in-app sleep timer. Apple HealthKit's privacy controls govern this data — you grant or revoke access in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Alarms Pro. The data never reaches any server we control.

2. Audio capture (stays on your device)

If you enable snore detection or the voice-recognition wake challenge, the microphone records short clips locally. Snore clips are stored only on the device and visible in the Bedtime tab. Voice-challenge audio is processed by Apple's on-device SFSpeechRecognizer and discarded. We never transmit microphone audio off your device.

3. Music & radio playback

When you set a music alarm we play audio through one of these services:

4. Subscription billing

Pro purchases go through Apple's App Store; Alarms Pro never sees your payment details. We use Adapty as a thin layer over StoreKit to manage receipts and entitlement checks. Adapty receives an opaque, randomly-generated user ID and the App Store transaction record — it cannot link this to your real identity unless you tell it your email yourself (which the app does not do).

5. Optional integrations you choose to enable

6. iCloud & CloudKit

The Bedtime sleep-sound library lives in our public CloudKit container so we can update sounds without shipping app updates. CloudKit reads run with your iCloud token but the container is read-only for users — Apple sees the request, we do not. Your alarms are synced via your private iCloud (CloudKit private database); only your own devices can read them.

7. Aggregate diagnostics

If you enable analytics on the website (alarmspro.app), we use Plausible, a cookieless EU-hosted analytics service. It records a salted, daily-rotated hash of (IP + user-agent + site) so we can count visits without a personal identifier. The mobile app contains no such tracker.

Children

Alarms Pro is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. There is no account system to misuse.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalents)

Because Alarms Pro doesn't store personal data on our servers, most rights (access, deletion, portability) are satisfied automatically: uninstall the app and any device-local data is gone with it. For the small footprint that does exist (e.g. an Adapty subscriber ID tied to your purchase receipt), email [email protected] with the date of your purchase and we'll process the request within 30 days. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national data-protection authority.

International transfers

Mobile Alchemy Ltd. is based in the UK. Our website is hosted in the EU. Apple's App Store, HealthKit, and CloudKit operate worldwide — Apple's privacy policy covers transfers there. Adapty operates from the United States; their data-processing addendum and SCCs are linked from their policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll bump the "Last updated" date at the top and surface it in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the new policy.
